2:40 PM Utilising DevOps to Streamline Operations and Transform Legacy Systems

As TAFE NSW moved from the Department of Education to the Department of Industry, legacy systems and applications needed to be overhauled and formalized. Use of DevOps enabled TAFE NSW to be able to transform these apps in a matter of months, with multiple projects running simultaneously. In this session DevOps Lead Kumaresh will share insight into utilizing Greenfields DevOps in a government organization:

Transforming legacy systems through DevOps and formalizing tooling, while allowing developers to continue using their desired tools
The process of adapting the Spotify puppet model for some of the applications
Overcoming challenges around resourcing and support for DevOps
Installing end to end automation within the cloud data center
